Lexie Thrash is a recent graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. After receiving dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Dance and the Integrated Advertising and Corporate Communication concentration of Media Arts and Design, she continues to be an aspiring performing and visual artist. With 19 years of extensive dance experience under her belt, Lexie also has been trained in theater, musical theater, and vocal performance for the past eight years.
This artist is a compassionate, thoughtful leader, communicator and marketer seeking to gain more experience in public relations, communications and the professional arts community. After four years as an undergraduate, she has found a newfound love for design, advertising, and photography. She has recently been able to grow these skills in a semester-long internship with the Public Relations Department in JMU’s Forbes Center for the Performing Arts and most recently in Los Angeles with L.A. Dance Project. Currently, Lexie is the Program Intern and Assistant to the Director at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival 2016.
When she isn’t dancing and designing, Lexie loves to spend her spare time collecting Snapple caps, learning to play the guitar, and visiting the beach. She has studied abroad in London, England through the JMU Dance Department, and in Los Angeles with the School of Media Arts and Design for the Summer 2015 semester. With dreams of experiencing many different cultures throughout her lifetime, Lexie plans to spend time traveling this fall, and potentially relocate to New York City, NY.
